Route description or Where to go

Start the route in Kostelec, from where you take the cycle path 5090 upwards, ride along the old fortifications of Kostelec Castle to the village of Cejle before climbing to the top of Čeřínek (761 m above sea level) via the village of Hutě. Čeřínek is the dominant feature of the nature park of the same name which consists mainly of granite bedrock.

From there, go back to the signpost where you turned off to reach the top and follow the same cycle path to Dolní Hutě.

Just after the village, leave cycle route number 5090 and follow the red marked hiking path that will lead you to Čertův hrádek Hill. On the top are the remains of a granite rock wall about 50 metres long.  The rocks are interspersed with many fissures, openings and chimneys, and stone seas have developed in the vicinity. After visiting this remarkable place, return to the Čertův hrádek signpost and continue back to cycle path 5090.

Go about 1.5 km along the Dolnohuťský potok Stream. After a little under 2 km you will come to the village of Rohozná. Turn left here and join the cycle path 5129, going through the village of Spělov to Jezdovice. At the signpost in Jezdovice, turn right and keep following cycle path 5129.

After around 4km you will finish your trip in the town of Třešť. It is especially famous for the craft of crib making, which has a tradition of more than two hundred years. Jewish settlement here is remembered by the Empire Synagogue, which has an archway and a façade. The permanent exhibition Zaváté stopy depicts the history of the local Jewish community. There is also an exhibition documenting the life of Franz Kafka.
